Peri Alexander, OTR/L (she/her)

Alex is a board certified and registered occupational therapist. She received her undergraduate degree in Psychology from Southern Connecticut University before attending American International College where she earned a Masters in Occupational Therapy. Prior to working at Advanced Therapy Alex worked for the public school system in Washington state. Once returning back home to Connecticut she spent some time in the public school system before transitioning to a therapeutic day program.

During her sessions Alex takes a play based approach to treatment ensuring that the kids she is working with are having fun while developing their skills. Alex has experience working with primitive reflexes, motor coordination, strengthening, sensory processing and emotional regulation. In addition she is trained in the AEIOU feeding protocol and enjoys supporting kids exploring new foods.

When she’s not working Alex enjoys baking for friends and family, doing yoga and exploring new coffee shops!
