Telehealth OT and Speech Services

What is telehealth? Revised March 2022

Telehealth is the delivery of healthcare via digital communication technologies. We can help you remotely! Our telehealth services allow you to participate either on the phone or through the computer.

With some of this virtual communication, you can use video to see the provider face to face, as you would during a typical in-person session. In other situations, you may have dialogue via audio only, like a phone call.

We use a parent-coaching system where we guide the parent to do therapy-like activities with their child. The parent is the OT’s and SLP’s hands, so to speak. As a result, you learn exactly what to do and build the confidence to help your child directly.

We work with children with autism spectrum disorder, Down syndrome, ADHD/ADD, sensory processing disorder, genetic disorders, developmental delays, and more.

Due to the COVID-19 crisis, Telehealth OT Services is now billable through most major insurance companies with simple modifications to the claims.

  • You will get 1-2 weekly 15-30 minute video calls with your OT and your child.
  • You will learn exactly how to help your child from the comfort of your own home and address the concerns that YOU want, using the materials you already have at home.
  • You will no longer have to sit in the waiting room and we can still accomplish your child’s OT and Speech goals at home.

An internet connection and either a smart phone, tablet, or computer.

Schedule an appointment by emailing office@advancedtherapyct.org.
